Ethiopia line up Burkina Faso friendly as part of their preparations for the second leg with Nigeria

Nigeria's World Cup qualifying play-off opponents Ethiopia have lined up a friendly against Burkina Faso as part of their preparations for the second leg with the Super Eagles on November 16.

The encounter is billed to take place in Ouagadougou on 5 November, with both teams vying for a spot at Fifa's showpiece event in Brazil next year.

While confirming the friendly, Ethiopia's coach Sewnet Bishaw disclosed that the game is aimed at preparing the Walya Antelopes for their tie against Nigeria, as well as for the upcoming Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.

"We want to use this game to prepare well for the 2014 World Cup qualifier return leg against Nigeria," Bishaw says.

"We are already training hard preparing for the game. We also have the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup after the World Cup qualifier."

Ethiopia trail Nigeria on aggregate after a brace from Emmanuel Emenike gave the African champions a 2-1 win in Addis Ababa, while Nations Cup finalists Burkina Faso hold a slim 3-2 advantage over Algeria.
